Submissions

Aflame Books is an independent publisher based in the UK. It publishes, in English translation, works from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East; works whose brilliance has been hidden from the English-speaking world by the barriers of culture and language

The principal focus of Aflame Books is the translation into English of works of fiction from Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Therefore we are interested in literary works originally written in languages such as Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Hausa, Persian, Zulu, Portuguese and French which come from these parts of the world.

If you are a translator with a project in mind we would like to hear from you, but please send us a brief proposal. Do NOT send unsolicited manuscripts.
